"In the early 2050s, unknown life forms called “Oracle Cells” began their uncontrolled consumption of all life on Earth. Their violent nature and god-like adaptability earned them the name “Aragami”. Facing an enemy completely immune to conventional weapons, modern society collapses as humanity is driven to the point of extinction. One last hope remains. Following the Fenrir Organization’s development of “God Arcs”, Oracle Cell based living weapons, their wielders are organized into an elite force of “God Eaters”. Your mission is to defeat the Aragami and gather material from them for research, but you come to realize that you are being drawn in to a giant conspiracy that will irreversibly alter the fate of humanity…"

PlayStation Universe 80/100

« The PlayStation brand has something special in God Eater Resurrection, and developing the franchise even more would be a godsend. With little holding it back, Resurrection makes a strong statement on how the hunter genre should be. »

RPG Site 80/100

« God Eater Resurrection provides a wealthy amount of content for fans to delve into. The weapon count has doubled, the . Whether this is your second go-around or your first time with the franchise, it’s hard not to ignore how impressive the game can be. I am far enough removed from my review of Gods Eater Burst that I found a lot to appreciate. »

RPGamer 80/100

« God Eater Resurrection is both a useful re-entry point for existing fans and the ideal opportunity for new players to get into the series. »

Atomix 77/100

« For better or worse, God Eater Resurrection is a game that retains its essence from its original counterpart from the PSP. It’s a game that looks great ion PS4 and fabulous PS Vita and offers a really accessible gameplay for all type of players. However and because of that, many veteran players of the genre could feel that this game is a little bit easier than others games and that turn repetitive really quickly. Despite that and if you can tolerate this, you will find in this remaster a great opportunity to know the franchise or, in other cases, to replay the first game. »

COGconnected 75/100

« Despite being a 6-year-old PSP game, God Eater Resurrection looks quite good on the PlayStation 4. While the game does show the odd low-detailed textures here and there, the character designs themselves are well done with smooth animation sequences. »

Everyeye.it 74/100

« Released in Japan last October, God Eater Resurrection has given back to the original game the popularity it deserved. To this day is undoubtedly the best alternative to Monster Hunter. »

Hardcore Gamer 70/100

« As a standalone game, God Eater Resurrection is a decent time. »

Attack of the Fanboy 70/100

« God Eater Resurrection may not be a must-have game, but seeing that its genre isn’t over-saturated allows it to stand firmly on its own. Whether you’re returning from the PSP game or are just looking for a new Monster Hunter-esque fix, this game will definitely scratch the hunting itch for you. »

« I would recommend God Eater Resurrection to those who want to get into the 'Monster Hunting' genre. While the gameplay does feel tighter, repetitive and not as mechanic heavy as Monster Hunter; It does excel in story, world-building, characters and music. It is also ANIME, so be ready to face the common tropes found in that media. My experiences with God Eater Resurrection is still heavily biased, due to the fact that I've played God Eater Burst (Older version of the game on the PSP) when I was younger and I enjoyed it very much. Getting back into the world of Aragami-slaying has hit me with a huge wave of nostalgia; Yet, it's unique charm still holds up after so many years. If I were to summarize God Eater, I would say "Anime ADHD Monster Hunter" and if that is something you can stomach? Then I heavily recommend this game to you. »

« Quite fun at first, but the repetitive combat and mission structure soon begin to bore. The story is ok, what there is of it, and the anime style graphics are well done. If you like repetitive damage sponge combat by all means buy this game. »

« This title is everything to me, its an amazing game, i played this game since his psp realease, God Eater Burst, and for those who arent aware, this game was released in 2010, and then remastered in 2015 with a diferent name (God Eater Resurrection), its story is actually amazing and immersive, the soundtracks are great, some reasonable bugs, the game has good mechanics. A funny thing i wanna share, everytime you play with scythe weapon and your character says "lets give them some slashes" (i dont remembre the right sentence, it happens when you use ur special melee abilitie), well, i was the one getting slashed or "hit by a truck", but yeah, be aware of that o.O Sidenote: The second title after this game, its more of the same, bcs they used different characters with the same backstory as this one, a full repeat in my opinion, but graphically worst and not a bit emersive. Hope i helped, and you can check my review of the second game also. »

« Vale la pena,un desarrollo mas que decente para un juego de cazeria, con mecanicas rapidas y personajes que si bien no son todos algunos llegan a tener un desarrollo exelente »

« Generally a revival **** is forgivable for the time it was released but the clunky combat and camera made this almost unbearable to enjoy. Sadly the story was ok and delivered itself in the first half as very informative and direct which i always find a plus with a unique world to want to explore. All in all, the upgrades aren't all that great, the lock on is broken, the camera makes you sick after a certain point with the hitboxes still feeling as punishing as it would be on ps2. It hasn't aged well for my tastes and it's only worth a youtube summary if you can't stomach the lower end of monster hunter style game at this day and age. »

« Truly painful, boring experience. There is nothing to be gained by playing this. »
