« As long as you don’t expect a riveting simulation or some epic WWI tale, Wings of War is an entertaining, albeit arcade, flight combat game with lots of action spread across a massive campaign with plenty of unique missions, both ground and air. »
« The physics are arcadey but work. You’ll notice the planes breaking in the order you would expect them to. The environments are pretty and the draw distance is extremely impressive. »
« A simple but lengthy and often exciting single-player experience that's a real credit to the world of budget-priced games. »
« It is just a basic old school shooter. The graphics are decent at best and you are basically getting what you paid for. »
« The campaign mode is outstanding and provides quite a few hours of fun and mayhem. Who can resist fun and mayhem? The lack of multiplayer severely hurts this title for me, but the cost helps ease some of the pain. »
« One of the downsides that I thought took away from the game was the lack of a story in the game. So you really never get that connection in the game that really makes you want to go all the way through the game. »
« Despite some inane gameplay features, the arcade-style flying and fighting is very good. »
« A pleasant surprise. Whilst not without it’s flaws, (some features, or lack thereof, give away the game’s obviously low production values) Wings provides a decent-looking arcade flight sim which, if sampled for small periods at regular intervals, can actually prove very enjoyable. »
