Avis des critiques et joueurs

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Gamezilla! 94/100

« The fighting engine is awesome. The graphics are awesome. The characters' moves are awesome. This game just plain kicks ass. »

GameSpot 92/100

« Wickedly sick action, amazingly fast gameplay, mother of all.... What more is there to say? Tekken 2 rules! The undeniable king of fighting games is here, and it's time to break bones and necks. »

Absolute Playstation 91/100

« This game take the PlayStation to a new level of excellence. The graphics are the most fluid and detailed yet seen. The gameplay is even hotter than the original. »

Game Revolution 91/100

« Another twist unique (I think) to Tekken 2 is the infinite fighting area. If you hate the cheap 'Ring Outs' in "VF2" or "Battle Arena Toshinden" or if your irritating friend keeps pinning you against the wall when playing X-Men, you'll love the unlimited fighting area. »

IGN 90/100

« The backgrounds are definitely more involved this time around, replacing the barren Virtua Fighter I-style backdrops with detailed, and occasionally moving, fighting arenas. And the light sourcing! It has to be seen to be believed. »

Electronic Gaming Monthly 85/100

« Blocky 3D brawler borrowed from "Virtua Fighter" to bring grade-A whoop ass to Sony's console. [Jan 2004, p.189] »

TotalGames.net 82/100

« Good in the sense that it means anyone can instantly pick it up and perform miraculous feats of head-cleaving prowess. But bad because it means you can effortlessly plough straight through it without having to work very hard. »

All Game Guide 80/100

« Characters are more varied and numerous, the moves possible with each of these characters is multiplied many fold, and the environments which they interact are certainly more detailed. »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

fromcolossus 8/10

« Tekken 2 is a massive improvement on the first game, with 25 playable fighters, smooth combat and iconic character endings. Home console extras like Survival, Team Battle and Practice mode add solid replay value. The core fighting still feels tight and satisfying, though exploitable AI and static pre-rendered backgrounds show their age. A classic early 3D fighter well worth revisiting for retro fans. »

deejayrana 7/10

« Refina todos los elementos que introduce el tosco Tekken 1 pero todavía es un título que carece de identidad propia, se nota que la saga estaba creciendo y que el desarrollo de este juego se encontraba en un estado primitivo de lo que más adelante explotaría en mecánicas sólidas con Tekken 3. »

MusashiReviews 9/10

« Improved on the original. Not particularly more beautiful , but brought some new characters, albeit many clones. »

BadGamer1992 8/10

« Great game such an improvement to theist tekken I love the amount unlockable characters. Felt this one really kicked off the franchise in my opinion »

Giann96 6/10

« Los juegos de lucha no la tienen tan difícil, simplemente tienen que ser visualmente atractivos y tener combos espectaculares que hagan que el jugador profundice en sus mecánicas, Tekken 2 definitivamente no es ni una ni otra. »

JoseManuel10_ 8/10

« Tekken 2 is a fighting game, the second entry in the Tekken series. It was originally released for arcades in 1995, and ported to the PlayStation a year later. »

Frozen_storm 9/10

« Most underrated Tekken game with Easy to learn hard to master gameplay this game is a banger »

Yojimbo2015 8/10

« Sequel to what was at the time easily the best fighting game around, and it surpassed it in every department. The number of fighters seems like slim pickings and the graphics are rather blocky by today's standards, but the Tekken games are unbeatable in the fighting stakes on the PS1. »
