Description (IGDB)

In the 3DS version of Sonic Generations, Modern Sonic's gameplay is similar to that of Sonic Rush and the DS version of Sonic Colors. He has the Boost, the ability to slide under obstacles, jump off walls, and the Homing Attack. After the second era, Modern Sonic learns the Stomp. Modern Sonic's levels use the 3D effect of depth on the 3DS version more actively as well as to giving a better view for when Modern Sonic jumps into the background, although the console versions are 3D-TV compatible. In the HD version, Modern Sonic is only able to wall jump off certain panels (similar to the DS version of Sonic Colors), but in the 3DS version, he is able to wall jump on any wall (much like Sonic Unleashed and the Wii version of Sonic Colors).

Histoire (IGDB)

The story begins with Classic Sonic in Green Hill. After completing Act 1, a purple vortex in the sky appears and surprises Classic Sonic. After that, it goes all the way to the present day and Sonic is invited to a birthday party by Tails. However, Sonic arrives early, so Tails tells him to wait. But then a vortex sucks Tails into it. Sonic jumps in but is "attacked," though he manages to get in anyway. Sonic sees a white world and wonders what's going on. Modern Sonic rescues Tails after restoring Green Hill, and Tails tells him that he sees a big city in nighttime and a giant mushroom, so Sonic decides to go check those places out, being followed by Classic Sonic, who is believed by Tails to be Modern Sonic.

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Worth Playing 91/100

« Bottom line: If you are or have ever been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog during the series' two-decade history, then this is your game. »

Console Monster 88/100

« Everything about Sonic Generations oozes excellence and while some of the traditional annoyances remain, it is hard to deny the crazy speeds and pure enjoyment Sonic's latest adventures reveal. »

ZTGD 87/100

« Every time I boosted as modern Sonic or sped through an area as classic Sonic, I had a smile on my face. The game is fast, colorful and downright fun. That's the best way to describe it. »

Videogameszone.de 85/100

« Sonic Generations takes the player on a voyage through 20 years of Sonic history. Pairing 2D-Levels with 3D-Stages Generations offers the best of both worlds and provides fans of the franchise with tons of unlockable art, music and gimmicks. Hands down one of the best Sonic games in the last 10 years. »

IGN 85/100

« It feels refreshing to be able to say that Sonic is good again. His upward trajectory over the last year continues and he's only gaining momentum. Sonic Generations is largely a game for the most hardcore of Sonic fans, but for the millions who have fond memories of narrowly dodging spikes, grinding on rails, or even that time he was a pinball, Sonic Generations is a game made for you. »

Meristation 85/100

« Sonic Generations delivers what fans have been looking for with a successful combination of classic and modern gameplay, both of them polished and highly replayable, making this latest Sonic game the path to follow for future releases. »

Vandal 85/100

« The excellent game Sonic has deserved for years, that although doesn't evolve the gameplay formula, adaptates it better than ever to the 3D, although with some flaws. A game that will make fans smile. »

Da Gameboyz 85/100

« The music is tight, the game's easy enough that newcomers can quickly get the hang of it, the visuals are downright beautiful, and, overall, I'd say buy this game. »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

NabbitFan600 8/10

« It was pretty good. The level design was great and the presentation was stellar. Things I didn't like include Planet Wisp, some of the challenges, and I wish the the remixed levels were a bit more unique like Mania's. »

BlitzNinja 9/10

« It's a Perfect Return from the Dark Age of Sonic and Also a Perfect Game to be made on a 20th Anniversary and the levels are actually good! (Except Plant Wisp) but I'm still salty about The Drift not being as Slippery as Unleashed. »

liveandlearn 10/10

« Amazing OST , amazing graphics , amazing gameplay, mid story tbh , it's a Masterpiece »

SonicSweeps79 9/10

« Sonic Generations is basically the ultimate "best of" album for the series. It’s a massive celebration of everything that makes Sonic great, successfully blending the classic 2D side-scrolling nostalgia with the high-octane 3D "Boost" **** standout feature is seeing iconic levels like Chemical Plant and City Escape reimagined with stunning, modern visuals. Playing as both Classic and Modern Sonic keeps the variety high, and the remixed soundtrack is an absolute standout. It’s easily one of the most polished and joyful entries in the franchise—a perfect love letter to fans that actually sticks the landing on both speed and platforming. But still hasn’t top Unleashed because of modern Sonic gameplay. And there are so many mods around to experiment with this game. »

AzureOtter 8/10

« One of the most solid "boost formula" sonic games, however it's still a boost game. Linear, slightly boring. Classic stages are cool, but classic sonic's physics are kinda wacky. That said - I did thoroughly enjoy my time with this game. I had a lot of fun with the challenge levels, the story was solid and had its funny moments. It's a really fun game! Solid 8/10. »

Yurysilva 10/10

« Eu te amo, apenas isso o mais foda de todos . »

animerp 10/10

« esse jogo é uma arte, com a melhor jogabilidade de todas simplesmente.........cinema »

richmanimtim 8/10
