Randy & Manilla
Description (IGDB)
Randy & Manilla is a game in which we discover a mysterious quantum cyber-universe hosted by Net-Cubes that contain virtual worlds with several game genres. In gameplay terms, Each Net-Cube is a world, which contains levels that represent each video game genre. For example, Terra-Qubit has levels based on the platform games, Gamezone Cube on classic arcades, or Rol & Rogue on rogue-lite and RPGs.
Histoire (IGDB)
In the year 2142, among the mysteries of the quantum supercomputer created by Lambert Wilson, there is a cyber-universe packed with brightly colored cubes called Net-Cubes. Within them, fantastic virtual worlds of pixelated and abstract structures await. It is free from threats like hackers, cyber-spies and corporate and government organizations. But that doesn't mean that they don’t hold their own dangers; such as the villain of the red Net-Cube: Cracksom Virus. This dominant virus is putting all Net-Cubes in danger of being permanently deleted, so he can expand his empire of computing corruption to the real world, abandoned by humans. Meanwhile, a messaging algorithm called E-Mailer arrives at the world of Bloxland Qubitown, Randy and Manilla’s home, giving them an urgent warning: the entire cyber-universe is in grave danger of being destroyed by Cracksom. He knows that they are the only ones who can stop his great threat. Moreover, according to the mayor Blue Quantáramo, our heroes hold a hidden programming and power that prevents them from being corrupted by Cracksom himself. And so, they accept the mission to embark on a great adventure through all the different Net-Cubes. E-Mailer will also come along and open portals so our heroes can access the new worlds.

Fakepeace Update is Here!
As explained in the previous article, the following details and improvements will be described now that the update has been released. If you're not yet aware of the update, here's the link:The update adds over 15 new soundtracks and remixes, including the theme song titled "A New World is Coming". If you're one of those who likes to achieve the highest possible ranks, there's good news.By opening the pause menu and pressing the "ranks" button, you'll see a table with all the levels and their ranking systems. As of the article's date, the ranks for the last two missing levels are not available, nor are there many accessible options for replaying said levels (only through the victory screens or after playing the entire game from the Net-Cubes map), so these features will be implemented in the future.Among other changes and additions:One of the most noticeable is that some buttons in Quantum City now have icons indicating the actions that will be performed when they are pressed.Gameplay and Physics Changes:Fixed sections where returning to the Quantum City level map forced players to repeat level 6-2During the initial sprint from mid-jump, the character is much less likely to fall in low gravityMinor camera adjustments in level 6-1Reduced sensitivity on the buttons related to camera settings (LT/L2 and RT/R2)More scenes where characters don't get stuck outside of dialogue triggersOn the main menu, controller map buttons can light up to check if they are workingFaster auto-rotation triggersReduced Golembrick's health from 40 to 30Smoother camera auto-rotationThe Cy-Wasp battle is slightly better balancedOther Changes:Teleporters in 5-1 no longer turn offMinor label change in level 1-3Terra-Qubitans have their own icons in their dialoguesImproved vibration tuning for the Terra-Qubit bossReduced loading time after defeating Cracksom in AbstractiaChanged particle color when teleporters turn into rings after healing in level 6-1Improved shadow quality at long distancesParticle effect for enemies that take more than one hit (3D levels only)When the Crackscorpion roars, post-processing now appears to enhance the visual impactFixed muted music when loading outside of Quantum HNDRed walls are more glitchedAdded arrows to the Net-Cubes map from very specific pointsWith all the aforementioned points, the roadmap has been updated as shown in the following image:As I explained in the Quantum City update, the Fakepeace block is now marked with a tick in the icon to indicate that it is complete. So now all that remains is to mark the other two blocks. From this point on, it could be said that Randy & Manilla is very close to achieving its final version, but we can't guarantee that it will arrive very soon, since several factors make it very likely that the game will end up being a different project out of necessity. However, its respective patches will arrive over time.I hope you enjoy the Fakepeace update ;)(Note: If you have your save file on Blacksquare, once the game is updated, you will skip the seventh Net-Cube section).
Fakepeace Update for June 11!
Finally, after more than two years of patches and minor updates, the big update will arrivevery soon next June 11th. And, as described in its roadmap, it will offer the following:Unlike most Net-Cubes, Fakepeace stands out for being a city so detailed that it is close to reality, but also for being one of the few Net-Cubes where there is no peacefully established order. It is ruled by crime and corruption, and is also the place where two new characters will debut.Former master of crime and smuggling in Fakepeace. She was the leader of her own band, but one day it was taken away by one of Cracksom's biggest henchmen. After what happened, she will decide to take revenge.Cracksom Virus's right hand and most dangerous henchwoman. She is very sadistic and ruthless; will not hesitate to kill anyone on behalf of Cracksom. She is also Yuri Crime's rival. The oldest Net-Cube in the cyber-universe, where all of humanity's remaining memory is archived. From the depths, several challenges of skill and intellect await Randy and Manilla, which they must overcome to discover the truth. The Net-Cube was originally intended for the second update, but has been included in the first in compensation for the absence due to its long development (although ideally the two would have been merged into one).More details and improvements will be mentioned in the following article:We hope the wait was worth it.
