« For a truly surreal experience, take Hot Shots out to the course during your next 18, and play a hole or two in between real holes. The only danger there is the rest of your group might become too hooked on what you're doing on Open Tee rather than finishing the real round. »
« An outstanding achievement in porting a major console golf title over to a handheld system while retaining all of the gameplay nuances that made it the classic it is today. »
« The simple fact is that this is a fine title and personally this tops my list as the game to have on the PSP. »
« Although a lack of an infrastructure network mode is disappointing, there’s no doubt that the fun factor and replay value of the game are very high. »
« Yeah, it’s "only" a golf game, but it’s brilliant and definitely one of the best titles on the PSP, period. »
« With six courses, 19-plus characters, and a hefty "Career" mode, this disc will knock "Lumines" out of your PSP (for a week or two at least). »
« Where the entry really shines, though, is multiplayer. Two-person matches, eight-player tournaments, and two-player miniature golf rounds are all seconds away. Each plays fabulously and really uses the PSP hardware well. [July 2005, p.127] »
« If you can get past the kiddie characters..., you'll find some of the best golf available, handheld or otherwise. [Aug 2005, p.91] »
