Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

« San Andreas breaks the video game mold and emerges as something far greater. This is more than a game. This is entertainment at its best. [Dec 2004, p.170] »
« A masterpiece; the outstanding gameplay from the first two games has been extended, tweaked and applied to a fresh, original and fascinating setting. There's more than enough meat to keep you going for months, and the sheer variety of gameplay is bewildering. »
« Not only a masterpiece, it's the finest game currently available for the PS2. Buy it now, but don't make any plans for a couple months at least. »
« A true platform defining title; in 20 years time gamers will look back at the Playstation2 and hold GTA: San Andreas as the true epoch-making title of the times. Nothing can be understated, RockStar North have truly delivered beyond everybody’s expectations. »
« San Andreas is shocking, not necessarily because of its typically contentious subject matter (though there's plenty in it to rub those of a conservative disposition the wrong way) but because of the sheer scale of the experience...Is it really the best game ever made? Quite possibly, yes. »
« The best game on the PS2. »
« The graphical effects in this title are far superior to anything GTA conjured up previously. On hot days you'll see an intense heat in front of you in the form of lots and lots of orange sunlight and heat waves in the distance. The sunsets and sunrises during hot times are absolutely blinding! »
« I usually complain that many single player games these days do not have much in the way of "replayability". That is one aspect where San Andreas sets the bar so ridiculously high, that I can't imagine any non-GTA games coming anywhere near it for years to come. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« It is not a bad game nor is it perfect. The game has mechanical control issues with the requirements during the aircraft flying. There has always been a problem with flying in GTA games. Other than that, 85% of the game is a pretty good feeling with humor from each of the different characters and the 90's theme setting. It is fun to mess around on it with freedom. Nothing like a good color game. »
« One of the best Grand Theft Auto games wasn't the best. It was a great title in its time. »
« One of few games when I think about when considering "the best game of all times". While San Andreas doesn't really steal this title to me, it feels so complete, so fully realised its almost too good to be true. Rarely you will enconuter game that not only does so much but does it all well. »
« Jeu très bon , histoire bonne , map excellente et ambiance super mais les commandes PS2 sont assez compliqués contrairement à la version next gen ( the definitive edition ) mais sinon excellent ! »
« O melhor jogo da história e o melhor do mundo todo Grand Theft Auto San Andreas »
« I finished the game after around 50 hours. I finally took the time to sit down and actually play through the whole game instead of playing the first few missions and just dropping it afterwards (I know it's stupid), and since GTA 6 will be coming out soon, there's no better time to fully play through this game. As I'm writing this, I'm just now realizing how generational this game is. For a game that came out in 2004, this game was WAY ahead of its time, one of the best open-world games I have ever played, and probably my favorite GTA game of all time, now surpassing GTA 5 for me. The gameplay is incredible; there's so much you can do in this game, it's amazing. The game features role-playing/life simulator elements, you can go to the gym and work out to gain muscle and stamina, and you can also eat so much that you get fat. The more you swim underwater, the more your lung capacity also improves, which is awesome! This game even has a weapon proficiency system! The more you use a weapon, the more your accuracy will improve. The more you drive and the more you fly, the better you will get. You can learn DIFFERENT fighting styles. You can even recruit gang members and take over gang territories! (Do y'all see what I mean when I said this game was ahead of its time? THIS IS INCREDIBLE! WHY IS THIS SYSTEM NOT INCLUDED IN ANY MAINLINE GTA GAME AFTER THIS??? WHY WERE WE GOING BACKWARDS??? It is actually mind-boggling and insane that this wasn't brought back for GTA 4 and 5. Hopefully, this is brought back in GTA 6, because this RPG/Life sim element can really have potential if they bring it back and improve on it more.) There are also a LOT of side activities/missions you can do! Such as: taxi driver, paramedic, firefighter, vigilante missions, pimping, valet, burglary, trucking, driving/flying/boat schools, spraying tags, getting collectibles, and SO MUCH MORE!!! The main missions are also really fun; some were annoying or were just outright terrible, but for the most part, the missions were good to great. The final mission, "End Of The Line," is easily the best mission in the game and probably the best final mission in the series; that mission right there is just what defines "Grand Theft Auto". Iconic mission. The map IS INCREDIBLE (and WAY BETTER than GTA 5). You have three whole cities (Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas) and a desert that you can explore, each with many different things that you can do. Truly amazing. The story is also incredible from start to finish, CJ is one of the best video game protagonists ever, and this game also has a memorable cast of characters as well. To conclude, GTA San Andreas is one of the greatest games of all time, and is now my favorite GTA game of all time (So far). Truly a timeless classic that I will definitely come back to here and there. If you haven't, please play this game, you will enjoy it! Highly recommend. 10/10 »
