Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 est un jeu de tir développé par Treyarch et édité par Activision, sorti le 12 octobre 2018 sur PC, PlayStation 4 et Xbox One. Le jeu utilise le moteur IW Engine 3.0 et propose trois expériences principales : un mode multijoueur fluide et réaliste, l’offre Zombies la plus complète de la série avec trois aventures complètes au lancement, et Blackout, un mode battle royale qui réunit l’univers de Black Ops sur la plus grande carte de l’histoire de Call of Duty.
Le jeu a reçu des critiques favorables, avec un score Metacritic de 83 et un score Opencritic de 84, pour une note agrégée de 80,66. La presse a notamment souligné la qualité de la mécanique de jeu, Telegraph écrivant que c’est la mécanique qui unit les composants du jeu. Game Informer a qualifié Blackout de meilleure expérience battle royale disponible. Du côté des joueurs, les opinions divergent : certains saluent le mode Zombies comme le meilleur de la licence, tandis que d’autres jugent le multijoueur moins réussi que celui de Black Ops 3.
