« Assassin’s Creed Origins improves from its past few installments in almost every way, yet it never quite reaches the heights of the games it tries to emulate. Its combat isn’t Dark Souls level. Its quests aren’t The Witcher 3 level. Its open world isn’t…well honestly, this might actually be one of the most impressive virtual spaces I’ve ever seen, so credit where it’s due there. I do have to imagine that if you ever have loved a game in the Assassin’s Creed series that you’ll enjoy what Origins does here, but also if you don’t have 60+ hours to sink into a game as absolutely massive as this one, I don’t blame you either. But I enjoyed my time with it, more so than I was even expecting, having thought I had burned out on this franchise for good. »

« Don’t play the hole story but have a lot of fun with this game. Story was cinematic when I played it and the stealth and combat was alright too. Parkour ist the underratest in the hole lore for me. Open world was sick too but I think I don’t finished the game is, because it’s too massive. Level system is in early game cool but when you move to the end it stinks rpg elements are boring armor/weapons are not that important. Great game but too big. »

« Honestly this game is still such a surprise because I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I’d thought. This doesn’t have everything I love about AC as I think there are fundamental aspects such as parkour and social stealth missing. However, the story actually works. It’s engaging, interesting and actually makes sense this time around. The game is bloated and has some content that isn’t necessary but it doesn’t ruin it compared to the other RPG installments. »

« Le jeu Assassin's Creed Origins apporte un énorme changement à la licence avec une approche plus orientée RPG et un monde ouvert beaucoup plus vaste. L’Égypte antique est magnifique à explorer, avec une map réussie et une excellente immersion dans son époque. Le lore et l’histoire sont clairement les plus gros points forts du jeu, notamment grâce à la création de la Confrérie et au personnage de Bayek of Siwa, qui apporte beaucoup d’émotion et de profondeur au récit. Cependant, le gameplay RPG ne fonctionne pas toujours parfaitement avec l’identité d’Assassin’s Creed, et certaines activités deviennent vite répétitives sur la durée. Le jeu souffre aussi parfois d’un contenu un peu trop étiré. »

« This is a masterpiece, no doubt! Although this was my very first AC game to try and finish, I really loved the action-based gameplay and that little bit of RPG-ish style. The map is huge, and ancient Egypt looks gorgeous! The story is really interesting and exciting throughout most of the game. Simple exploration is fun on its own; you can ride camels, horses, and even chariots. The bounty hunters are really spicing things up. I absolutely enjoyed the encounters with them. It's really pleasing to discover historically famous places and buildings, so as a history lover, I really appreciated these occasions. On the other hand, I found the references to certain conspiracy theories really funny, and I also really enjoyed the rather myth-focused parts. All in all, the atmosphere, gameplay, and story really add up to make an exceptional game. Absolutely recommended! »
